Max Spring has been drawing the unique cartoons for our customer magazine Akzente for around 20 years. We recently met him again in Lucerne for a coffee. Max combined his trip to Lucerne with a visit to his daughter, who is studying animation and cartoon film at the Lucerne School of Art and Design. After a boat trip on Lake Lucerne and a tasty lunch, his afternoon program included a meeting with us. We told Max about our latest project, the e-newsletter. As we want him to leave his drawing footprints in our digital communication as well.
As a digital supplement on top of the printed customer magazine Akzente, we will publish a digital newsletter three times a year, starting in August. The E-newsletter will cover important and current topics related to the world of accountant, audit and tax. Of course, always with a clear focus on added value for our readers.
Max Spring, equipped with pen and paper, let his creativity bubble during our meeting and put our stories and ideas directly on paper. Back in his studio, the sketch was turned into a colourful cartoon. Between the first sketch and the final cartoon, there are various work steps - including digital ones. Max usually creates a drawing several times. The individual elements are first drawn with ink on paper. The various partial drawings are then glued together in the desired order to form a patchwork and then photocopied onto high-quality paper. In the next step Max colours the cartoon with watercolour and brush. Finally, he carries out some post-processing operations in the scanned document if considered necessary. And with this the masterpiece is finished.
Would you like to know what Max Spring has drawn for us? Then subscribe to our newsletter. The first newsletter with the hot off the press cartoon will be published by the end of August. By the way: A cartoon of Max will soon also to be admired on our social media channels.
