When employees leave the company, the employer is obliged by law to inform them about the employee insurance schemes and their insurance coverage after the end of employment. If the duty to provide information is not observed, the employer may in a worst-case scenario be liable to pay high damages.

On July 1, 2018 the job registration requirement is in power. It applies only for types of occupation with a trigger level of 8 % unemployment. As of January 1, 2020 the trigger level will be reduced to 5 %.
